I wonder how these chemicals could be hindering the health of our teeth and insides – if you want more natural ways to whiten teeth – keep reading.
These five natural ways to whiten your teeth are so simple.
I know it this sounds crazy but trust me. Strawberries contain vitamin C and an enzyme called malic acid; this enzyme helps whiten your teeth by removing surface stains, and the vitamin C helps to wash away plaque.
Simply smash up a couple of strawberries and brush with them twice a week or you could just eat some strawberries throughout the week making sure to chew them well, so it gives the same effect as brushing. This is sure to bring positive whitening results.
Oil Pulling is used for many things, such as removing toxins from the body and keeping your mouth as healthy as possible. It can also help whiten your teeth, though, just take one tablespoon of pure and organic coconut oil. Swish it around your mouth very well, like mouthwash for about 15-20 minutes. It’s easiest to do while watching your favorite TV show or making dinner.
After the time is up spit it out and rinse your mouth with water, thoroughly. It is recommended to drink at least 2-3 glasses of purified water after this due to its toxin cleansing benefits.
Crunchy Veggies and Fruit
It’s not just strawberries that have this effect. Many other crunchy vegetables and fruits can help whiten your teeth naturally too. Things such as celery, apples, carrots, etc. Just chewing these can remove unwanted bacteria and excess foods from your teeth and it will scrub away surface stains like strawberries. It’s not just the crunch factor, but also, many fruits and vegetables contain malic acid which is a natural teeth whitener all on its own.
Lemon Juice and Baking Soda
This mixture enhances the acidity of the lemon juice allowing it to whiten your teeth very well and show good results. Make a paste with the lemon juice and baking soda; you will then want to wipe off extra saliva from your teeth and apply the paste. Leave the paste on for no longer than a minute and rinse with water.
Important: You do not want to leave it on any longer, or the acid will affect your enamel. You can use this up to two times a week but no more than that because the acid will affect the enamel.
Everyone loves to have while teeth, and with so many things like drinking too much coffee (guilty here) that will brown and yellow our teeth, it’s important to use natural whiteners to avoid as many chemicals as possible.
